KMANJARO HOLDINGS PLC’s Founder & Principal Shareholder Mr. M. A. Zaman has over 25 years’ experience in building over USD 9 billion businesses for its shareholders, strategic partners and the host Governments of Indochina (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos). With the strong support of the Indochina Governments the Group has been very successful in building 7 companies in the field of Mobile Telephony & TV Media Broadcasting in the region.

Mr. Zaman’s strengths has been in the early identification of Greenfield Opportunities, building relationships with host Governments and forging partnership with a globally experienced operator, with whom he has then built profitable companies in competitive markets and created jobs for approximately 35’000 people.

VIETNAM

Millicom International Cellular SA (the Telecommunication Flagship of the “Kinnevik Group” of Sweden) and Mr. Zaman, formed a partnership in 1994 and incorporated a joint venture company “COMVIK INTERNATIONAL VIETNAM AB”. The Chairman of Kmanjaro Holdings Plc Mr. Zaman was leading all Kinnevik Operations in Asia/Pacific. He is also the Chairman of Comvik International Vietnam AB and as well the founding Chairman of Vietnam’s first GSM Mobile Network company “MOBIFONE”. MobiFone was launched in 1995 in partnership between Comvik International Vietnam AB and the Government of Vietnam.

CAMBODIA

In 1996, the Government of Cambodia awarded a 35-year operating license to the JV “Millicom Cambodia BV” (a JV between Millicom & Mr. Zaman) to build Cambodia’s first GSM network – “MOBITEL”. The Government also granted an international telecommunications gateway license to the company “Tele2”, for routing international incoming and outgoing calls. In addition, a national terrestrial TV broadcasting license was awarded to build and operate Cambodia Television Network “CTN and MyTV”. The JV also built and operated the portal company “Everyday.com”.

LAOS

In 2003 the JV “Millicom Laos BV” (a JV between Millicom & Mr. Zaman) was awarded a 25-years license to build and operate a nationwide mobile telephony network in Laos – “TIGO”.

ROYAL FALCON FLEET

Kmanjaro Holdings’ luxury division has built Porsche Design Mega Yacht “ROYAL FALCON ONE” and has launched the ROYAL FALCON CLUB, world’s first luxury club lifestyle ecosystem for the Rising Billionaires of the 21st century. The group also produced a high quality magazine “Dazzling Oceans” that promotes ocean care and philanthropy.
